Plumber and locksmith prices 2026: given before every call-out
You should never find out the price of an emergency repair when it's time to pay. We give it to you by phone or WhatsApp before the technician sets off, and that is the price you pay.
- Price quoted = price paid
- Itemised invoice for your insurer
- Emergency: on site within 2 hours, anywhere in Luxembourg

How we work out a price
Four things make up the price of a call-out: travel to your home, labour (a door slammed shut is less work than a locked one, a blocked toilet less than a clogged drain pipe), any parts (cylinder, hose, flush mechanism, tap) and when the job takes place.
We add these up and give you one total price for the job. There's no hourly rate ticking while the technician works: you know what you'll pay before he sets off.
A photo sent on WhatsApp is often enough for an accurate price within minutes. If the technician finds another problem on site, he explains it and asks for your agreement before doing anything extra.
Plumbing
Toilet and sink unblocking (guaranteed for 1 month), drain unblocking and camera inspection, accessible leak repair, toilet flush, mixer tap, water heater. These are starting prices for an emergency plumber; the exact price of your job is confirmed before we travel.
See blocked toilet, blocked sink, water leak, water heater and our plumber page.
Locksmith
Opening a door that's slammed shut or locked, cylinder replacement, broken key. Fitting a new lock is priced on a free quote from a photo of the door. See also our locksmith page and understanding locksmith prices.
Glazing
Boarding up is done straight away; the final glass is made to measure, so it's priced from photos and measurements. See glazier.
Roller shutters and awnings
Nights, weekends, public holidays
A job at 11 pm on a Sunday means a technician working outside normal hours, so it can cost more than a weekday daytime job.
The rule stays the same: the full amount, surcharge included, is given to you before we travel. No extras appearing on the invoice.
Travel
The call-out charge for travel is included in the price we quote. If your commune is further away, we tell you when we quote, not afterwards.
Payment methods
We confirm accepted payment methods on the phone, together with the price. You always get an itemised invoice, useful for your insurer.
How we give you the price before we come
- You describe the problem — By phone or WhatsApp, with a photo if you can. Tell us your commune: it's how we work out the travel.
- We give you a total price — Travel, labour, expected parts and any surcharge included. The quote is free and commits you to nothing.
- You say yes or no — If you say no, you pay nothing. If you say yes, we tell you when the technician will arrive.
- The invoice matches the price — You get an itemised invoice. If you asked for extra work on site, it's listed separately.
Invoice, job report and insurance
After every job you get an itemised invoice and a job report; on request we add before-and-after photos. After water damage, a forced lock or a broken window, you'll need these for your home insurance claim.
Whether you're reimbursed depends on your insurer and your policy. Check it before counting on a payout. More on our insurance and claims page.
How to avoid being overcharged
Emergency repair scams tend to follow the same pattern: a low advertised price, then a very different bill once the work is done. A few habits that apply to us as much as to any other plumber or locksmith:
- Ask for the full price before anyone travels, surcharge and call-out charge included.
- Don't let work start until you've agreed the price.
- If your door has only slammed shut, ask why the lock would need replacing before you agree.
- Insist on an itemised invoice with the company's name and address.
- Compare with the starting prices on this page.

Frequently asked questions
What if it blocks again after your visit?
Our unblocking work is guaranteed for 1 month. If the sink, shower, toilet or drain blocks again within a month of the job, we come back free of charge. Just call the same number.
Is the price quoted on the phone really the final price?
Yes. The price we give you on the phone or on WhatsApp, before we set off, is the price on the invoice. You can say no before we travel, at no cost.
Can the quoted price change on site?
No, unless you ask for extra work. If the technician finds something else, he explains it and waits for your agreement.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes. All amounts shown and quoted include Luxembourg's 17% VAT.
Why are some prices “on quote”?
Made-to-measure glass, awning repairs and safe opening depend on the model and sizes. Send photos and we'll reply with an exact price.
How much does an emergency plumber cost?
An emergency plumber's price depends on the problem, the parts and the time of day. Our starting prices are in the plumbing table above. Before a plumber comes out to you, we give you the total price by phone or WhatsApp.
How much does a night call-out cost?
The surcharge depends on the time and the type of job. It's included in the total price we give before travelling.
Do plumbers charge by the hour?
Many plumbers charge an hourly rate plus travel and parts. With us, you get one total price for the job before we set off, and that's the price on the invoice.
Who pays the plumber to find a leak?
It depends on where the leak comes from, your lease and your insurance policy. Tenant, owner or building manager: check your lease and your policy. We give you an invoice and a job report for your file.
Who should I call in a plumbing emergency?
Turn off the main stopcock first, then call a plumber who gives you the price before coming out. We answer 24/7 on 621 140 705 and on WhatsApp.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. The price given by phone or WhatsApp commits you to nothing.
