Privacy policy

We collect only the data needed to handle your request. Here is what we receive, why, and how to exercise your rights.

Data controller

Help Depanne Services S.à r.l., RCS Luxembourg B296585, 7, Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg.

For any question about your data: hds@helpservice24.net or +352 621 140 705.

Data we receive

By phone

Your number, first name, the address of the job and a description of the problem. We use them to organise the call-out and issue the invoice.

By WhatsApp

The WhatsApp button on this site prepares a message in your app. Nothing is sent until you tap “Send” in WhatsApp. The message is built in your browser and does not pass through our servers.

Once sent, the message travels through WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., under its own terms. We use what you write to us (problem, town, photos, first name) only to handle your request.

Through quote forms

The quote forms and the business form send the fields you fill in (name, phone, email, town, description, company if relevant). They are stored in our content management system Sanity, provided by Sanity AS / Sanity Inc. acting as processor.

Optional location

In the WhatsApp assistant you can attach your location. It is requested only after an explicit action on your part and is used only to add a map link to your message. It is never collected automatically.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, services of Google Ireland Limited, to see which pages and ads lead to requests (calls, WhatsApp messages, quote requests). Your choice in the banner decides what is stored.

Until you accept

No analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google tools run in “consent denied” mode (Google Consent Mode): they only send signals without cookies or identifiers (a page view or a click on a phone number, for example), which Google uses to estimate overall statistics. These signals cannot recognise you from one visit to the next.

If you accept

Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies to measure visits, to see which ad led to a call, a message or a quote request, and to show you our ads again on Google services (remarketing).

Google Signals is on: if you are signed in to a Google account and have allowed ad personalisation in it, Google can link your visits across devices and give us overall statistics (age, interests). We never receive your identity. You can manage this at adssettings.google.com.

Quote requests and enhanced conversions

When you send a quote request and have accepted cookies, your email address and phone number are sent to Google Ads in hashed form (SHA-256), only to tell whether the request came from one of our ads. They are not used to send you advertising by email or phone.

Changing your mind

The “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page opens the banner again. Your choice is stored in your browser; if you clear the site’s data, the banner comes back. Google’s rules are at policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies used

  • Banner choice (local storage hds-consent): kept in your browser until you clear it.
  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): up to 2 years; event data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics.
  • Google Ads (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw): up to 90 days.
  • Fraud Blocker (protecting our ads against fraudulent clicks): technical analysis of the visit (IP address, browser and device type, behaviour on the page) to detect bots and abusive clicks. It may store a technical identifier in your browser.

Legal bases

  • Pre-contractual steps and performance of the contract: handling your request, the call-out, the invoice.
  • Legal obligation: keeping invoices and accounting records.
  • Consent: Google analytics and advertising cookies (Analytics, Ads, Google Signals), enhanced conversions, optional location sharing.
  • Legitimate interest: cookieless signals sent to Google before you choose, monitoring the quality of our work and handling complaints, detection of fraudulent clicks on our ads (Fraud Blocker).

Retention periods

The periods below are our default rules. They can be shorter if you ask us to erase data that is not subject to a legal retention obligation.

  • Quote requests that did not lead to a job: 3 years after the last contact.
  • Messages about a call-out: for the duration of the customer relationship, then 3 years.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, under Luxembourg accounting law.
  • Analytics and advertising data: 14 months in Google Analytics; cookie lifetimes are listed under “Cookies used”.

Recipients

Your data is only accessible to the team handling your request and to our technical providers: website hosting by Vercel Inc., content and request management by Sanity, analytics and advertising by Google Ireland Limited (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads), detection of fraudulent clicks by Fraud Blocker, sending of quote request emails by Resend.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. Such transfers are covered by GDPR safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We never sell or rent your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

  • Write to hds@helpservice24.net stating your request.
  • We reply within one month.
  • You can also lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), 15, Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux.
